Just Pre-ordered

Mike Young's Look! Look! Feathers! I mean, I got the email from Word Riot like less than a minute ago and ordered immediately. I'm excited about this book. It's going to be bad ass.

Kacey Carneal

I've found that I really like this folk artist, who gets inspiration from listening to Tony Bennett and from Time Magazine. That sweater! Those pants! This lady would be awesome to listen to for an hour.

Small Presses

Anis Shivani posted a slideshow featuring 15 small presses at The Huffington Post. Most of them are big small presses (excuse the oxymoron) like Copper Canyon. But, a couple pretty small ones are up there, including C&R Press, for whom I design books. That's pretty cool. He mentions Sybil Baker's Talismans, which the press is readying to send to the printer. Look for it soon at Small Press Distribution and Amazon, etc. Shivani says in his write-up prior to the slide show that over the summer Huffington Post will continue to feature small presses and invites readers to join in the discussion by suggesting what presses they think ought to be discussed. Go plug your homies.
